The Chosen is the first multi-season series about the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. Primarily set in Judaea and Galilee in the 1st century. Ā
The series is Biblically and historically accurate and makes use of "artistic license" in a way that focuses more deeply on those who encountered Jesus and views him through their eyes. The director, Dallas Jenkins, Ā presents Jesus in a way that is more "personal, intimate, [and] immediate". Ā The viewer drawn into the story line and experience Jesus and his disciples as they likely were during that world changing ministry.
